BETTENDORF, Iowa – A record performance and a pair of Top-5 finishes made for a stellar Saturday for the Waldorf cross country teams at the Fighting Bee Invitational.

Sophomore Marissa Kuik stole the show, and nearly won the women's 5-kilometer race, shattering the Warrior school record by finishing second overall Saturday in 19 minutes, 45.9 seconds.

While she stole the show on the women's side, Nik Ganzeveld did his best to do the same in the men's 8K race, finishing fifth overall in 26:50.6. Close behind him was teammate Andrew Murley in 26th overall in 27:53.6.
